Marc Bushelle was born in Barbados and grew up living and traveling around the world (mainly Europe, Africa and the Caribbean) because his family was part of the United States Foreign Service. This wanderlust has continued into his adult life but now he is based in New York City. Working out of a brownstone on a tree-lined street in Brooklyn, Marc works and shoots in his studio. However, he really feels at home shooting on location, wherever that may take him. He loves life with an open mind, an artistic hand and a sharp eye. Marc Bushelle’s work spans a wide range with many personalities. Whatever the project is, he jumps into it with both creative feet. His work tends to be a little edgy and use a lot color while remaining focused on the elements of composition, art direction and light. The many layers that come with life, love and passion are present in his work. He holds the viewer’s attention and opens them up into a world full of magic and delight. You have a chance to get up close, explore and have an intimate connection with the subjects. Emotions are wonderful and he enjoys capturing them and evoking them with his work.
