Sareena Nicole is a Texas transplant who has been DJ’ing for 5 years, but her love for music is deep rooted and passed down from generations before her. Her late grandfather Pete Villasenor instilled his love for music and exposed her to the music world as a musician himself, teaching her how to play piano. She later found love in playing the trumpet in her school band. “I’ve been compiling music since I was in elementary school, buying blank cassette tapes and recording the top 7 at 7 from the radio, or staying up late during the summertime watching music videos, mentally pegging all the songs, beats, and artists that made my soul feel alive.” 

Currently residing in Harlem, she moved to New York City four years ago to pursue her love of music and writing. “Overall, I am looking to build a safe space for all walks of life to feel accepted, elevated, inspired, and overall just spread love. Music is the universal language that can break down barriers, no matter how different you may from someone else, music can always help bridge that gap. And I want to be the person who builds that bridge.”
